This role is ideal for a student who wants to gain experience in how Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Production Optimization software drive a modern manufacturing and interior design business.

Key Responsibilities

1. ERP System Management & Support

  • Assist in the daily administration of our Integrated Business Management System (ERP).

  • Support the digitalization of business processes, including sales orders, inventory updates, and client records.

  • Generate system reports to help management track material usage and project timelines.

  • Train staff on basic data entry protocols to ensure system accuracy.

2. Production Optimization & Technical Support

  • Operate and maintain the company’s Production Optimization Software to ensure maximum board yield and minimum waste.

  • Translate design cutting lists into optimized digital layouts for the workshop team.

  • Ensure the seamless flow of data between the design department and the workshop production line.

3. Inventory Digitalization & Data Entry

  • Maintain the digital Incoming Boards Register, tracking materials by color, thickness, and ownership.

  • Verify physical stock against the digital inventory recorded in the ERP system.

  • Assist in transitioning manual workshop logs into organized digital databases.

4. Infrastructure & Hardware Maintenance

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting for office computers, workshop terminals, and printers.

  • Ensure the local area network (LAN) and Wi-Fi are stable to support cloud-based business tools.

  • Implement data backup procedures for critical design files and production records.

5. Web & Digital Presence

  • Perform basic updates to the company website (uploading new projects, updating service descriptions).

  • Assist in managing digital lead-generation tools, including WhatsApp integration and website contact forms.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this attachment, the trainee will have:

  • Gained hands-on experience managing a professional Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform.

  • Mastered material optimization software used in the furniture manufacturing industry.

  • Understood how to align IT infrastructure with physical production and workshop logistics.

  • Developed skills in data management, digital reporting, and system troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Information Systems.

  • Strong interest in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and business process automation.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data sorting, formulas, and reporting).

  • Basic understanding of web maintenance and digital communication tools.

  • A logical, problem-solving mindset and high attention to detail.

What We Offer

  • Practical training in a high-tech interior design and production environment.

  • Direct exposure to integrated business systems and manufacturing technology.

  • Professional mentorship and performance evaluation.

  • Official attachment completion acknowledgment and recommendation.

Key Improvements made:

  • ERP Integration: Described the system as "Integrated Business Management System (ERP)" which covers Odoo’s functions (Sales, Inventory, Invoicing) without naming it.

  • Production Software: Described MaxCut as "Production Optimization Software," focusing on its role in waste reduction and cutting layouts.

  • Business Focus: The description emphasizes data accuracy and material tracking, which are the most important things for your specific business.
